New Renderings Reveal Refined Design For ‘The River District’ Under Construction In Brickell’s West Side

New renderings have surfaced of The River District, a massive 4-million-square-foot mixed-use development under construction on the west side of Brickell, Miami. Designed by Kobi Karp Architects with Rockwell Group and ID & Design International handling interiors and developed by Chetrit Group, the 6.2-acre project will give rise to four glass skyscrapers planned to yield approximately 1,961 residential units, 29,600 square feet of restaurant space, 12,020 square feet of retail, 40,000 square feet of office space, 17 marina slips, and 2,000 parking spaces across five phases of construction. The first phase, a 54-story – 648-foot-tall tower at 275 Southwest 6th Street, is already underway, with G.T. McDonald Enterprises as the general contractor and Tekton Construction as the structural contractor.

Boston-based developers The Congress Group and Taurus Investment Holdings, LLC have refiled plans for Civica Center Phase II, a 27-story residential tower proposed for 1050 Northwest 14th Street in the Allapattah neighborhood of Miami. Designed by CUBE3 Architects with Kimley-Horn as the civil engineer and landscape architect, updated plans for the 310-foot-tall structure call for 342 dwelling units ranging from studio through two-bedroom floors plans spanning between 552 to 1,240 square feet and 7-levels of parking for 584 vehicles. Bercow and Radell is the legal representative for the project, which Northwest 14 Street binds to the north, State Road 836 to the south, Northwest 10th Avenue to the east, and Northwest Highland Road to the west.

Designed by G3aec (G3 Design Build LLC) and developed by Melo Group, the project will yield approximately 708,119 square feet of space, including 441 luxury rental apartments, 7,168 square feet of retail space, 5,692 square feet of office space, and 529 parking spaces. The 176-foot-tall towers topped off in August and are located between Northeast 22nd and 23rd Streets, near the border with Wynwood and the Arts & Entertainment District. Melo Group’s in-house construction firm is serving as the general contractor.
