Groundbreaking Date Announced For 1,049-Foot Supertall Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences In Downtown Miami

Today, national developer Property Markets Group along with Canadian private equity firm Greybrook Realty Partners, global investment company Mohari Hospitality, S2 Development, and global hospitality company Hilton proudly announce the official groundbreaking of Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences in Downtown Miami. Located at 300 Biscayne Boulevard, the soaring tower will rise 100 stories and 1,049 feet above Biscayne Bay, marking Miami’s first supertall tower and the tallest residential building south of New York City. This also marks the debut of one of the world’s most iconic hospitality brands, Waldorf Astoria, in the Miami and South Florida market. John Moriarty Associates is the general contractor and is scheduled to break ground on Thursday, October 27, 2022.

Developers File Plans For 37-Story Mixed-Use Tower ‘The Edge’ At 456 NE 29th Street In Edgewater, Miami

On October 19, Miami’s Urban Development Review Board will consider plans for The Edge, a 37-story mixed-use building proposed to rise at 456 Northeast 29th Street in Edgewater, Miami. Designed by Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design Inc. alongside Dieguez Fridman Arquitectos & Asociados and developed by a joint partnership between New York City-based real estate developers SB Development and Hazelton Capital Group under the Edgewater Owner, LLC, the approximate 465-foot-tall structure would yield 467,921 gross square feet including nearly 200,000 square feet of residential space spread across 96 units, 5,373 square feet of commercial space and an enclosed parking garage with 135 spaces. Kimley-Horn is listed as both the landscape architect and civil engineer.

Sumaida + Khurana, Bizzi & Partners To Begin Leasing And Construction On ‘The Fifth Miami Beach’ In The Coming Months

Sumaida + Khurana and Bizzi & Partners, two internationally recognized real estate development firms, announced it will begin leasing and construction in the coming months for their new Class A+ office building designed by renowned Spanish master architect Alberto Campo Baeza alongside Cube 3 as the architect of record named The Fifth Miami Beach. This will be the first commercial building in the United States and the first building in Miami designed by Baeza, who won Spain’s National Prize for Architecture last year. It will also be the first new commercial building to be built in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood in more than 15 years, located at 411 Michigan Avenue between 4th and 5th Streets. This summer, less than one year after acquiring the 21,000-square-foot site, Sumaida + Khurana and Bizzi & Partners received unanimous design approval from the Historic Preservation Board of Miami.
