Proposal Reveals Plans For A 7-Story Mixed-Use Project At 2390 NW 62nd Street In Brownsville, Miami-Dade County

Plans have been filed to redevelop a 0.71-acre assemblage near the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Metrorail train station in Brownsville, Miami-Dade County. Designed by Miami-based architecture firm Modis Architects and developed by WN Development, LLC, led by Claudio Nigro, the proposed 7-story development would replace an existing one-story structure located at 2390 Northwest 62nd Street, between Northwest 24th Avenue and Northwest 23rd Court. The location is currently designated for commercial land use and falls within the boundaries of the Model City Urban Center mixed-use corridor, while the building would offer 1,876 square feet of retail space and 105 dwelling units, with 47 surface parking spaces for retail and residential purposes.

FAA Approves Namdar Group’s Planned 450-Foot-Tall Mixed-Use Towers At 222 NE 1st Avenue in Downtown Miami

The Federal Aviation Administration has approved two 43-story towers in Downtown Miami.  The project in question is 222, also known as Namdar Towers, an approximate 1.3 million-square-foot mixed-use development planned for a 1.26-acre assemblage at 222 Northeast 1st Avenue. Designed by Behar Font & Partners with De Los Reyes Engineering, Inc. as the structural engineer and developed by Namdar Group, plans for the project call for 1,394 residential units, 7,984 square feet of ground floor commercial space,  336 vehicles parking spaces, and racks for 1,394 bicycles. Witkin Hults + Partners is the landscape architect, TWR Engineers is the MEP engineer, and Grāef is the civil engineer.

Demolition Permits Filed For 700 Brickell Avenue Where 68-Story One Brickell City Centre Supertall Is Planned

Total demolition permits have been filed for a 10-story commercial building at 700 Brickell Avenue in Brickell, Miami’s financial district. The 190,963-square-foot structure is listed as built in 1971 and has since been used for office purposes with an attached parking garage, occupying an L-shaped 47,610-square-foot lot on the western frontage of Brickell Avenue between Southeast 7th and 8th Streets. The application was created on January 20 and awaits plan acceptance from Miami’s Building Department to begin the review process. Alpha Wrecking Group is listed as the demolition contractor, with an estimated price tag of $1,350,000 for the scope of work.

Naftali Group Files Plans For Mixed-Use Development With Two Towers At 201 N. Federal Highway In Fort Lauderdale

New York City-based Naftali Group has filed plans for 201 North Federal Highway, a two-tower mixed-use development of 47 and 44 stories proposed in Fort Lauderdale’s downtown core. Designed by Arquitectonica with landscape architecture from ESDA, Inc., and Kimley-Horn as the civil engineer and traffic engineer, the proposal calls for 1,483,708 square feet of space, including 824 residential units, 19,391 square feet of amenities, 10,399 square feet of commercial/retail space, and 877 parking spaces across two towers of approximately 509 feet and 493 feet over a multi-story podium. The approximate 1.52-acre property is located at the corner of Northeast 2nd Street and North Federal Highway; Toothaker is the land-use attorney.
