JDS Development Group Submits 1,049-Foot Supertall Skyscraper ‘Major’ To The FAA

Major, another supertall skyscraper of mixed-uses planned to rise in the heart of Miami’s financial district, has been submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for review. The developers, JDS Development Group and Major Food Group, hope to attain building permits to develop an 82-story, 1,049-foot-tall tower at 888 Brickell Avenue – a 0.52-acre site on the northwest corner of the intersection with Southeast 10th Street currently improved with a 7-story, 50-year-old office building. An elite team of designers and engineers has been assembled for the project, which includes New York-based Studio Sofield along with ODP Architecture & Design as the architect of record; Desimone Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer and MG Engineering is the MEP engineer; SLS is the code consultant and Kimley-Horn the landscape architect and civil engineer; Lerch Bates will handle vertical transportation and Walker Parking as the parking consultant; Socotec Consulting Inc. will oversee all enclosures, waterproofing and roofing.

Developers Land Construction Financing For 33-Story AER Project In Downtown Tampa

American Land Ventures (ALV), a Miami-based real estate developer, and development partner Gazit Horizons Inc., the American arm of Israeli-based Gazit Globe Ltd., have landed a construction loan of over $113 million from BMO Harris Bank NA to build AER, a mixed-use development soon to go vertical at 3oo West Tyler Street in Downtown Tampa. Designed by Miami-based Cube3 with Coastal Construction named as the general contractor, the development will yield a 33-story, 346-foot-tall tower with 344 residential units and a connected 10-story structure with over 10,000 square feet of retail space and 504 parking spaces.

Renderings Revealed For 8-Story Mixed-Use Building Designed By Arquitectonica At 2700 NW 2nd Avenue In Wynwood, Miami

Renderings have been revealed for a newly proposed development at 2700 Northwest 2nd Avenue in Wynwood, Miami. PRH G40 Property Owner, LLC, a joint venture between Related Group, Tristar Capital, LNDMRK Development and Tricera Capital, has filed plans for an 8-story mixed-use building with the Wynwood Design Review Committee to be reviewed on April 12, 2022. The proposed plans include a 95-foot-tall, 363,363-square-foot structure containing 329 dwelling units, 18,452 square feet of commercial space and 206 parking spaces with 24 bicycle rack spaces. The architect is leading global design firm Arquitectonica with Coral Gables-based Naturalficial as the landscape architect.
