UDRB Approves Updated Design For ODP Architects’ 12-Story Mixed-Use Development At 7737 NE 2nd Avenue In Miami

Miami’s Urban Development Review Board has unanimously approved 7737 Northeast 2nd Avenue, an unnamed 12-story mixed-use development in the city’s Little River neighborhood. Designed by ODP Architecture & Design, with Kimley-Horn serving as both the landscape architect and civil engineer, and developed by Little River Cedar Property Owner, LLC, an affiliate of Chicago-based developer Cedar Street, the 159-foot-tall structure will contain over 200,000 square feet of floor area. This space will include 188 residential units, approximately 7,668 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and 289 on-site parking spaces. Osborn Engineering is the structural and MEP engineer, while SLS Consulting is the life safety consultant.

Catchlight Crossings Starts Construction in Orlando, FL

Construction has commenced on Catchlight Crossings, an affordable and mixed-income housing community in Orlando, Florida, marked by Universal Destinations & Experiences and developed by Wendover Housing Partners. This project, spanning 20 acres of land donated by Housing for Tomorrow (Universal’s not-for-profit initiative), aims to address the need for affordable housing in Central Florida.

Dream Outdoor Resort Callahan Undergoes Construction West of I-95 in Jacksonville, FL

Dream Outdoor Resort Callahan is undergoing construction in North Florida. The venture is part of developer’s DLP Capital’s collection of Dream Outdoor Resorts. Per the Jacksonville Business Journal, Dream Outdoor Resort Callahan will span 265 acres and host 397 RV pads.

21-Story Mixed-Use Venture Planned for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street North and Arlington Avenue, St. Petersburg, Florida

An affiliate of AMFP VI Saint Petersburg LLC intends to move forward with a high-rise mixed-usel development. The proposed 21-story tower will comprise 292 market-rate units and rest on a .78-acre parcel. It’s currently vacant.

Developers Get Approval From Miami’s UDRB For 38-Story ‘2900 Terrace’ In Edgewater

Miami’s Urban Development Review Board has issued approval for 2900 Terrace, a new 38-story mixed-use development slated for 401 Northeast 29th Terrace in the Edgewater neighborhood. This 380-foot-tall project is a collaboration between LNDMRK Development and Oak Row Equities, with design by the renowned architectural firm Arquitectonica. The development is anticipated to encompass 629,829 square feet, including 324 residential units, 22,354 square feet designated for office use, 13,108 square feet for commercial use, and 515 parking spaces. Construction is expected to be completed in 2026.

High-Rise 2900 Terrace Planned for 401 NE 29th Terrace, Miami, Florida

Mixed-Use Oasis at Doral Planned for 4090 N.W. 97th Ave., Doral, FL

After reaching a settlement agreement with city officials, the Apollo Cos. is moving forward with Oasis at Doral. The mixed-use project will rest on an 18-acre site. Per the South Florida Business Journal, the multi-building project would offer 630 multi-family units, with 40 percent (252 homes) set aside as workforce housing.

Index Investment Group Proposes Flagler’s Wharf at 401 N. Alternative A1A and 101 Old Jupiter Road in Jupiter, FL

Index Investment Group has proposed a mixed-use venture in Jupiter, Florida. Flagler’s Wharf (not to be confused with Fisherman’s Wharf) would rest on a now-vacant 2.95-acre lot. The developer purchased the parcel for $2.6 million in 2016. The site previously featured a mobile home park.

SAG Development Proposes 74-Unit Complex for 219 Pembroke Road, Hallandale Beach, Florida

Aventura-based SAG Development has proposed a residential complex for a 1.49-acre site in Hallandale Beach. The Green House apartments would offer 74 apartments, requiring 91,940 square feet of new construction and measuring six stories above grade.
