Uber Inks Lease At EQ Office’s 3 MiamiCentral In Downtown Miami

On August 10, 2021, ride-hailing technology company Uber announced the signing of a new lease for office spaces at 3 MiamiCentral, a 130,157-square-foot transit-oriented 12-story mixed-use building located in the Overtown district of Downtown Miami. The company will occupy 13,000 square feet of the 95,000 square feet that the Class A office component has to offer. Officially addressed as 161 Northwest 6th Street, the structure is designed by AECOM with Design2form as an architectural consultant and currently owned by EQ Office, a real estate investment company managed by New York City-based Blackstone.

The Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed Heron at Water Street Tampa is a duo-tower mixed-use building of 21 and 26 stories located at 815 Water Street within the 56-acre Water Street Tampa mega-development in Downtown Tampa. Developed by Strategic Property Partners (SPP), a joint venture between Jeff Vinik, the current owner of the Tampa Bay Lightning, and Cascade Investment LLC, an entity owned by Bill Gates, the superstructure rises to approximately 247-feet (west tower) and 312-feet (east tower) and conveniently positioned near the waterfront. This component of the mega-development completed and opened to the public earlier this year, yielding 420 luxury rental apartments and approximately 53,000 square feet of ground floor retail.

New Renderings Revealed For Magic City Innovation District In Little Haiti

New renderings have been released for Magic City Innovation District, a massive multi-building transit-oriented mixed-use mega-development planned for Little Haiti in Miami. The project is comprised of 17 parcels of land spanning multiple blocks, primarily located between Northeast 2nd Avenue and Northeast 4th Court with Northeast 59th Terrace being the southern-most cross street and Northeast 64th Terrace as the northern-most street. Being developed by a partnership between Plaza Equity Partners, Metro 1 and Luna Rouge, the new district will yield residential, hotel, office, retail and expo space across 18-acres.
