Swire Properties And Related Companies Unveil Florida’s Tallest And Largest Commercial Skyscraper For 700 Brickell Avenue

Miami-based Swire Properties Inc. (Swire), the U.S. real estate arm of the Hong-Kong listed multinational corporation Swire Group, and New York-based Related Companies (Related), the powerhouse developer behind Hudson Yards in Manhattan, have unveiled their official plans for One Brickell City Centre, an approximately 1,000-foot supertall commercial skyscraper proposed to replace an aging 10-story office building at 700 Brickell Avenue in Brickell, Miami’s Financial District. The project is designed by internationally renowned architecture firm Arquitectonica and is proposed to yield 1.6 million square feet of office space with the largest floor plates in Miami for a Class-A office building. If approved, One Brickell City Centre would become both the tallest and largest commercial building in Florida, representing the second phase of Swire’s 4.9-million-square-foot Brickell City Centre mixed-use complex.

JDS Development Group Lands $86 Million In Financing For 64-Story Mixed-Use Development At 1 Southside Park

New York and Miami real estate developer JDS Development Group (JDS) announced that it has secured an $86,000,000 acquisition and construction loan from New York-based Maxim Capital Group for 1 Southside Park, a two-towered 64-story block-sized mixed-use development underway in Brickell, Miami. This transformative project is designed by a world-class design team from SHoP Architects with ODP Architecture & Design as the architect of record, residential interiors by Krista Ninivaggi of Woods Baggot, hotel interior design by Rockwell Group and landscaping by James Corner Field Operations. 1 Southside Park will comprise 1,175 residential rental units, 190,000 square feet of premier office space, a 200-key Treehouse Hotel, 10,000 square feet of retail space, and 1,400 parking spaces.

PMG And Sentral Partner Up For Dual-Tower, 1.5-Million-Square-Foot Mixed-Use Development At 130 SW 8th Street In Brickell, Miami

National investment, development, and asset management firm Property Markets Group (PMG), and Sentral, the rapidly expanding prop-tech company creating the world’s largest flexible living community, announced a partnership to develop a two-phase, 803-unit multifamily community with more than 15,000 square feet of retail space in the heart of Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. The acquisition of the site at 130 Southwest 8th Street will mark Sentral and PMG’s first partnership, as well as Sentral’s first purpose-built development as part of the brand’s national expansion. Phase one includes a 550-foot-tall, 46-story tower with 570 units and will break ground in late 2022, with completion slated in late 2024. Phase two will include a 380-foot-tall, 31-story tower with 233 units.

AIMCO Plans 3-Million-Square-Foot Development At Former Sears Site In Fort Lauderdale

Denver-based real estate developer AIMCO has acquired a 5.7-acre piece of property at 901 North Federal Highway in Flagler Village, Fort Lauderdale, the former Searstown site which once thrived as a retail anchor for the neighborhood, lasting 66 years in business. The previous owner, RK Associates, an affiliate of Sunny Isles Beach-based RK Centers led by Miami Heat co-owner Raanan Katz, sold the site for $64 million. The 155,760-square-foot retail space on-site is slated for demolition and redevelopment.
