A 1960s-era shopping center in Miami-Dade County could be replaced with an affordable housing development. The Hub apartments (not to be confused with the HUB Miami) would measure five stories above grade and comprise close to 200,000 square feet of new construction.
A 32-story tower could replace the Poinsettia Club Apartments, a three-story, 72-unit complex that was built in 1966. The new condo would span more than 385,000 square feet, offering 87 homes and 204 parking spots—averaging to about 2.34 spaces per unit.
