In September 2023, construction started on the Mark at Tallahassee, a student housing development in the Sunshine State’s capitol. Multi-Housing News reports that the complex will offer 859 beds spread across three buildings.
The Flats Resort and Spa is continuing construction in Central Florida. The seven-story venture, which will require more than 180,000 square feet of new construction, is scheduled for completion in early 2025.
Earlier this week, the St. Petersburg Development Review Commission approved Skyway Village, a mixed-use development in the Skyway Marina District. The venture will involve demolishing most of a 380,000-square-foot facility that exists on the 34.3-acre build site.
The city’s Planning & Zoning Board is set to deliberate on the proposed land use amendment for “Water’s Edge” on October 3. This transformative project is earmarked for the 22.4-acre site situated at 1600 S.W. 80th Terrace.
Florida Polytech University hopes to break ground on a new engineering building in spring 2024. The 40,000-square-foot venture, named the “Gary C. Wendt Building,” will cost $15 million to complete, per the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
