The Southerly at Southbank has finished construction in Jacksonville, FL. The venture offers luxury studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units. Per Apartments.com, they range from 404 square feet to 1,714 square feet each.
Parasol is continuing construction in Melbourne, FL. The community’s designed for older people looking to maintain healthy and active lifestyles. Construction began on the venture in early 2021. It will ideally open in Winter 2022.
A pre-application has been initiated for an administrative site plan review with the Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources for 700 North Miami Avenue, the site of the cancelled Marriot Marquis Miami Worldcenter and the former location of the Miami Arena (demolished in 2008). The application lists WG 700 North Miami LLC, an entity owned and managed by New York City-based Witkoff Group, as the owner of the application, and reveals Miami-based Kobi Karp Architects is leading the design for the project. Plans for the 4.7-acre site consists of three 57-story mixed-use buildings with up to 2,195 residential units, 540,000 square feet of office space, and 49,999 square feet of retail space. Witkoff, along with Chicago-based Monroe Capital, acquired the property for $94 million from MDM Group in July of last year.
Construction started on Lil’ Abner Apartments II in August 2021, according to the South Florida Business Journal. Construction on Lil’ Abner Apartments I ended in 2013. Now, the second phase is underway. It will offer affordable housing options to seniors living in Sweetwater, FL. The community is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2023.
Bryce Landing is undergoing construction in Middleburg, FL. Construction started in early 2021 and will conclude in May 2022. The Housing Trust Group, LLC (HTG) owns the venture. According to the organization’s website, homes are reserved for those making 30 to 60 percent of the area median income.
