Developers 13th Floor Investments and Key International are moving forward with their ambitious project at 609 Brickell Avenue in Miami in collaboration with architect Sieger Suarez. The First Miami Presbyterian Church, located at this address, had previously agreed to a deal with the developers that could lead to the construction of one of Miami’s tallest and most iconic buildings—an 80-story luxury condo tower on the church’s property.

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) is the largest subscription theatre in the state. Now, it has big plans for a new multi-million-dollar venture in Sarasota, Florida. According to the company’s website, Florida State Theatre’s Art Plaza (called “Mulva Arts Plaza” in some sources) will measure 11 stories above grade.

Developers Seek FAA Height Approval For 44-Story West Eleventh Residences In Miami

Developers Property Markets Group (PMG), Lion Development Group, and Marc Roberts Companies have filed with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to approve their latest project, West Eleventh Residences. Located at 18 Northwest 11th Street in Downtown Miami, the tower will rise 44 stories, offering 659 fully furnished, turn-key residences and a distinctive 30,000 square foot, tri-level experiential entertainment and food hall on the ground floor. The development will focus on providing short-term rental flexibility and centralized management, making it a first of its kind in Miami.

Johnson Commons at LaVilla Under Construction at 1082 W. Adams St., Jacksonville, Florida, 32204

Johnson Commons at LaVilla is expected to debut sometime later this summer. According to Breeze Homes, the community will comprise 91 townhomes, starting in the $300,000s. There are two layout plans to choose from. The two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom unit will measure 1,390 square feet. The three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom unit offers 1,461 square feet.

UDRB Approves 25-Story Mixed-Use Tower In Overtown, Miami

Overtown Block 19, a 25-story mixed-use development planned for 1159 Northwest 1st Court in Overtown, has received approval from Miami’s Urban Development Review Board. Designed by Nichols Architects with Witkin Hults + Partners as the landscape architect and developed by RNG Overtown LLC, based in Morganville, New Jersey, the approximate 275-foot-tall structure will comprise 606,942 square feet of space across two towers joint by a podium, including 413 multifamily units, roughly 20,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, and 505 parking spaces.

The development aims to set a new standard for rental living in Miami, offering convenient on-site amenities and focusing on providing a comfortable, hassle-free home experience. Construction of the first building, led by OHLA, is expected to be completed in 2024.

HTG And Mount Hermon AME Church Secure Financing For Affordable Senior Community In Fort Lauderdale

Housing Trust Group and Mount Hermon African Methodist Episcopal Church Inc. broke ground on a new affordable housing community, Mount Hermon Apartments, located at 750 Northwest 4th Street in the Dorsey Riverbend neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Designed by Miami-based REPRTWÄR with interiors by B. Pila Design, the 7-story development will offer units reserved for income-qualifying seniors aged 62 and above whose income falls at or below 25 and 60 percent of the area median income (AMI) with rents ranging from $425 to $1,225 per month. HTG Gomez Construction is the general contractor, and Thomas Engineering is the civil engineer and landscape architect. The project is expected to be completed in late 2024.
