Shoma Group Announces New 21-Story Mixed-Use Development ‘Shoma Bay’ In North Bay Village

Miami-based developer Shoma Group is excited to announce Shoma Bay, a 2.8-acre mixed-use development in the thriving waterfront community of North Bay Village. Anchored by a 36,068-square-foot Publix, the project will boast a 21-story, 327-unit luxury apartment community and 6,315 square feet of retail space including a rooftop lounge and a Shoma Bazaar food hall. Residences range in size from 324-square-foot furnished micro studios to 1,435-square-foot three-bedroom units. A portion of the project will be workforce housing. Located on the corner of the 79th Street Causeway and East Treasure Drive, Shoma Bay is in proximity to nearby shopping, dining and schools, with direct access to the main highway that connects North Bay Village to Miami Beach and the MiMo District.

Gazit Horizons Files Preliminary Site Plans For 54-Story Brickell Gateway At 90 SW 8th Street In Brickell, Miami

New details have emerged for a 54-story transit-oriented mixed-use tower planned to ascend on the southeast corner of SW 1st Avenue and SW 8th Street in Brickell, Miami. Gazit Horizons (Gazit), the North American subsidiary of Israel-based real estate developer Gazit Globe Group, along with Atlantic Pacific Communities have filed plans for Brickell Gateway, a 643-foot-tall building proposed for 90 Southwest 8th Street, which is across the street from Brickell City Centre and adjacent to Solitair Brickell Apartments. Although we don’t have official renderings just yet, we know the project is being designed by Coral Gables-based Corwil Architects with Kimley-Horn as the civil engineer. The building is proposed to yield 504 multifamily residential units, 16,882 square feet of retail space and parking space for up to 245 vehicles.

Demolition Permits Issued For 530 Northwest 1st Court In Downtown Miami

Total demolition permits have been issued for an unfinished concrete parking structure at 530 Northwest 1st Court in the Overtown District of Downtown Miami. The 5-story structure has stood on the property since around 2008 and was supposed to support a 29-story office building once known as Logik Tower, which was cancelled due to financial constraints and the recession that proceeded. The interior lot spans 22,500 square feet and is bound by NW 1st Court. on the East, NW 6th Street on the North, and two vacant lots on the West addressed as 525 and 533 NW 2nd Avenue. The permit was approved on February 11, 2022 and marked active by the 14th with The BG Group LLC listed as the general contractor at the cost of $153,930.
