Lennar Homes has big plans for a masterplan community in Homestead, Florida. The organization purchased the 43.7-acre build site for $29 million in 2019, per the South Florida Business Journal. Previously, it was home to a mobile home park for seniors and campground. Now, plans are underway for over 400 family homes.
New renderings reveal interior spaces of the residential amenity offerings at Orange Station, a planned large-scale mixed-use development addressed as 1301 1st Avenue North located in St. Petersburg’s EDGE District. Designed by Tim Clemmons of Place Architecture and developed by Edge Central Development Partners, a joint venture between DDA Development, J Square Developers and Backstreets Capital, LLC, the development is projected to yield five buildings including 103 residential units with workforce housing, approximately 106,000 square feet of office space, 21,400 square of retail space, a pubic plaza and a private-public use parking garage fit for 600 vehicles.
Construction continues on Serenity Cottages at Lady Lake. The multi-million-dollar project will deliver luxury amenities for adults in need of memory care services. This project comprises nearly 90,000 square feet of new construction.
Permits have been approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for work on 477 Southwest 1st Avenue, a proposed 394-foot-tall residential building in Tarpon River, Fort Lauderdale. Located within the Downtown Regional Activity Center between Southwest 1st Avenue and Southwest Flagler Avenue with Southwest 4th Court on the North and Southwest 5th Street on the South, the project is being developed by Ellis Diversified, Inc. (EDI), a Fort Lauderdale-based firm led by real estate developer Jim Ellis, who acquired the 1.54-acre development site in September 2015 for $5 million. The FAA determination was approved on January 31, 2022 and will expire on July 31, 2023, meaning construction could occur relatively soon.
James Arthur Court in Vero Beach, Florida, is nearing completion. The 1.47-acre property was previously home to the Courtyard Villas, which served as a popular motel in the 1950s and 1960s. Now, the premises will soon offer 20 residential units intended for low-income veterans.
