After much anticipation, The Main Las Olas has finally concluded construction. The multi-million-dollar venture, led by Stiles Corp. and Shorestein Properties, towers 27 stories above grade.
Construction is going vertical at Society Orlando, a two-tower mixed-use project of 17 and 28 stories in Downtown Orlando’s Central Business District. Designed by Orlando’s very own Baker Barrios and developed by Property Markets Group in collaboration with Raven Capital Management, the 825,000-square-foot development occupies an entire city block addressed as 434 North Orange Avenue, and is set to become the single largest residential project in all of Downtown Orlando.
Foundation work is now underway for Metro Edgewater, a 32-story mixed-use tower set to rise in what is referred to as the Paraiso District of Edgewater in Miami. The Watermark at West Palm Beach is one step closer to completion, the Construction Journal reports. The assisted living facility first sought zoning variances in December 2019 and began construction in the first quarter of 2021.
Back in 2018, the city of Miami had reached a new milestone in skyscraper construction with the completion of the Panorama Tower, an 85-story mixed-use building standing 868-feet over Brickell. Designed by Kobi Karp with Moshe Cosicher of the AIA as the architect of record, and developed Florida East Coast Realty led by Tibor Hollo, the structure currently holds the title for tallest in the state of Florida and also the tallest residential building south of New York City, surpassing the Four Seasons Hotel Miami which held the title from 2003 to 2017.
