Developers Propose Massive Mixed-Use Projects To Replace College Station Garage In Downtown Miami

In the summer of 2021, the Miami Parking Authority (MPA) received an unsolicited proposal for the redevelopment of the College Station Garage at 190 Northeast 3rd Street in Downtown Miami. Following the unsolicited proposal, the MPA requested public bids for the site and received proposals from College Station Partners LLC, a joint venture between Miami-based developers Related Group (Related) and ROVR Development (ROVR), and from Terra International Services LLC, a joint venture between Terra Group (Terra) and Apollo Global Management (Apollo). Both ventures are proposing to build massive mixed-use projects, and as of January 19, 2022. the MPA has ranked the proposal from Related and ROVR as the top bid ahead of Terra and Apollo. The MPA will consider a 99-year land lease and development agreement for the replacement of 1,439-space garage, which was built in 1973 and stands 7-stories.

Construction Completes On Lake Nona Wave Hotel In Lake Nona, Orlando

Construction is complete on Lake Nona Wave Hotel, a 17-story hotel at 6100 Wave Hotel Drive in Lake Nona, Orlando. Designed by Miami-based Arquitectonica and developed by the Tavistock Development Company, the development arm of international private investment organization – the Tavistock Group, the building stands 199-feet and is comprised of 234,248 square feet of space including 234 high-tech guest rooms – of which 18 are artistic suites, and over 12,000 square feet of tech-infused meeting and event space. The project is part of the 100-acre Lake Nona Town Center master-planned community which is expected to yield 4 million square feet of mixed-use development at completion. Lake Nona Wave Hotel first broke ground in 2019 with Balfour Beatty Construction as the general contractor, officially opening to the public in December 2021 with CoralTree Hospitality managing the establishment.
