Fort Lauderdale has seen an influx of construction projects come to life in recent years; a construction boom cycle so to say. And developers have wasted no time in taking advantage of lucrative opportunities to build as the migration of people to South Florida has created favorable real estate market conditions.
A new Hilton-owned hotel will complete construction in mid-2021. Home2 Suites and Tru by Hilton is a dual hotel that is located in Pompano Beach, FL. It will cost $17.9 million to complete and will comprise 113,368 square feet of new construction.
Construction nears topping out on Society Biscayne at 400 Biscayne Boulevard, a 571-foot-tall mixed-use skyscraper in Downtown Miami. Designed by Sieger Suarez Architects, the 49-story tower is one of the most recent to rise along Biscayne Boulevard and amongst the tallest under construction within Miami’s city limits, located near the American Airlines Arena and Bayfront Park, and one block north from the site of the upcoming Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Residences. The developers of the tower are Property Markets Group and Greybrook Realty Partners.
BLOCK 40 is a mixed-use development that is coming soon downtown Hollywood, just a walk away from both Hollywood Circle and the beach. The project is currently being overseen by Gold Coast Florida Regional Center and is intended to vitalize the area.
The reinforced concrete superstructure on the first of three towers has reached it’s parapet at Smart Brickell, a 25-story, multi-building complex under construction at 239 Southwest 9th Street in the western section Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. HAC Architects and Urbanists is the design architect with Gensler as the architect of record, and Arquitectonica Interiors is handling interiors. Habitat Group is the developer behind the project.
