A pre-application filed on May 7, 2026 seeks an industrial rezoning for a 13.77-acre property at 7200 NW 22nd Avenue in the Gladeview area of unincorporated Miami-Dade County, marking another advancement for the broader Poinciana redevelopment initiative led by SG Poinciana Ventures LLC. The application requests a zoning change to permit the development of a logistics center adjacent to the Florida East Coast Railway corridor and references the developers’ broader June 2025 proposal to Miami-Dade County, an approximately $295 million initiative planned across roughly 37 acres associated with the long-vacant Poinciana Industrial Park properties that would combine affordable and mixed-income housing with industrial, retail, healthcare, and workforce development components.
Construction has topped out on the new Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital at 29999 Boyette Road in Wesley Chapel, Pasco County. The five-story, 239,000-square-foot pediatric hospital is being built for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, with Robins & Morton serving as general contractor and HKS as architect. The milestone was commemorated on May 8 with a topping-out ceremony marking the placement of the final steel beam atop the structure.
