Thanks to a generous donation from philanthropists Toby and Leon Cooperman, Boca Raton Regional Hospital will soon be home to the “Toby and Leon Cooperman Medical Arts Pavilion.” The venture broke ground in April 2021, per Boca Voice.
Reservations have launched for The Perigon, a 17-story ultra-luxury condominium development set to rise at 5333 Collins Avenue along the stretch between Indian Creek and the Atlantic Ocean on the sands of Miami Beach. Designed by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas, founder of internationally acclaimed firm OMA New York and developed between Miami-based Mast Capital and Miami Beach-based Starwood Capital Group, The Perigon will become one of the most recognizable buildings in the Mid Beach neighborhood and will feature 82 spacious two- to four-bedroom residences elegantly designed by Tara Bernerd & Partners spanning 2,100 to 6,700 square feet. Landscape architecture firm Gustafson Porter+Bowman will surround the development with lush gardens and serene water features.
Despite much controversy, Kelco Brooklyn, LLC, is proceeding with a new Home2Suites hotel in Jacksonville, Florida. Upon completion, the six-story building (hovering around 80 feet) will comprise 100 rooms, primarily aimed that those visiting Duval County for recreational and business purposes.
YIMBY spotted a new street-level rendering from Arx Solutions of Brickell Gateway, a 54-story mixed-use high rise planned for 90 Southwest 8th Street in Brickell, Miami’s Financial District. Designed by Coral Gables-based Corwil Architects and developed by Israeli developer Gazit Globe and Atlantic Pacific Communities, the 643-foot-tall structure is proposed to yield 504 residential units, 16,882 square feet of ground floor retail and parking for up to 245 vehicles. The rendering release coincided with Gazit’s announcement to investors that the project received approvals for increased density from County planners.
The Related Group will break ground on Casamar by the fourth quarter of 2022. The 21-story building, slated for Pompano Beach, FL, will comprise homes starting at around $1.8 million each. In total, there will be 119 units; four one-bedroom units, 22 two-bedroom units, 56 three-bedroom units, and 37 four-bedroom units.
