A new rendering has surfaced of Legacy Hotel & Residences, a 51-story mixed-use building officially underway at 930 Northeast 1st Avenue within the 27-acre Miami Worldcenter. Designed by Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design Inc. with interiors by ID & Design International and developed by Royal Palm Companies, the near 1-million-square-foot structure is planned rise 690-feet and include 310 residences and 219 hotel rooms, 37,227 square feet of commercial space, 55,088 square feet of office space, over 140,000 square feet of wellness space, 482 parking spaces and 30 bicycle spaces. Moss & Associates LLC is listed as the general contractor.

Strategic Property Partners (SPP) has unveiled the resort-style amenities at Asher, a new 22-story apartment tower at 1050 Water Street in Water Street Tampa, the 56-acre neighborhood transforming Downtown Tampa. Designed inside and out by renown architecture firm Morris Adjmi Architects, the 490-unit building offers a nod to Tampa’s industrial history with oversized divided-light windows that maximize natural light. The building also boasts a custom art collection curated by Adjmi’s team that showcases over 40 works by national and international artists.

Barrington Brothers, managed by Arthur and Ken Barrington, have begun construction on The Kavista, a 8-story residential development at 495 Northeast 83rd Street in the historic Village of El Portal, located between Miami Shores and Little River in Miami-Dade County. Designed both on the exterior and interior by Modis Architects with Nielsen Landscape Architects handling landscape architecture, the $60 million development will offer one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, and ground floor live-work units ranging from 559 to 1,133 square feet. Full demolition permits have been issued by the City of Miami for the removal of a 20,000-square-foot structure located at 99 Southwest 7th Street, at the intersection with Southwest 1st Street and South Miami Avenue in Brickell. The property, which spans just over 70,000 square feet, sits on the southern riverbank of the Miami River with over 100-feet of water frontage and will soon undergo preparations for the development of LOFTY Brickell, a 44-story residential building designed by Arquitectonica with landscape architecture by Urban Robot Associates for Newgard Development Group (Newgard). The project is planned to comprise 364 fully-finished and furnished residences with curated interiors by INC and 40,000 square feet of amenities, licensed for sharing and short-term rentals, estimated to rise 481-feet.

Hyatt And Gencom Propose Redevelopment Of Hyatt Regency Miami With Mixed-Use Complex Of Three Towers

Leading global hospitality company Hyatt has teamed up with Miami-based luxury hospitality and residential developer Gencom to redevelop Downtown Miami’s iconic Hyatt Regency Miami at 400 Southeast 2nd Avenue, with the goal of making improvements in and out of the urban core, and activating a key piece of Miami’s riverfront. Designed by Miami-based Arquitectonica, plans for the site include three towers offering residents and hotel guests panoramic views of Downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay. Towers one and two would rise 61-stories and include 682 multifamily apartments, a 615-room Hyatt Regency with over 100,000 square feet of meeting space, and 264 serviced apartments; the towers would be linked at the top by a Skybridge featuring an upscale destination restaurant and lounge perched 700 feet over the city. Tower three would become one of the tallest buildings in South Florida rising 1,049-feet, anticipated to include 860 residential apartments.

Rollins College To Get New Theater at 1000 Holt Avenue, Winter Park, Florida, 32789

Rollins College will soon be home to a new theater. It’s called the Tiedtke Theater & Dance Centre, named for Philip and Sigrid Tiedkte, who donated $5 million to make the venture possible. Construction started in November 2021, with OHL Building, Inc. operating as the general contractor. Construction’s anticipated to end in the fourth quarter of 2022.
