Construction could soon commence on The Stadler, a mixed-use project within the Lake Flores Master Planned Community. It would comprise 382,248 square feet of new construction in Bradenton, FL.
Kolter Multifamily LLC, an affiliate of Delray Beach’s The Kolter Group, commenced construction on Alton Osprey, an apartment community located at 174 East Bay Street in Osprey, Florida, just south of downtown Sarasota. This 252-unit upscale apartment complex will consist of three to five-story buildings and a two-story clubhouse, placing residents within walking distance of multiple dining options, sophisticated boutiques, and the most engaging outdoor amenities the greater Sarasota area offers.
After reaching completion in 2022, Skyway Lofts is getting a second phase. Dubbed “Skyway Lofts II,” the venture will feature 66 affordable housing units, with many reserved for those making 60 percent of the area median income (AMI).
Efforts to tackle Central Florida’s pressing affordable housing crisis have taken a significant step forward as plans by Walt Disney World and The Michaels Organization to develop a sprawling affordable housing community in Horizon West have cleared a notable hurdle. On February 15, Orange County’s Planning and Zoning Commission voted to recommend the transmittal of a request for a future land use amendment for Disney’s 114-acre property, marking a pivotal advancement in the project’s journey towards realization. This collaborative effort between the entertainment behemoth and the Camden, New Jersey-based developer is poised to erect as many as 1,410 apartments, with over 1,000 designated as affordable housing units, directly addressing the region’s acute need for accessible living spaces.
GLC Pompano 1 LLC, a Texas-based developer, hopes to get approval for an apartment complex in Pompano Beach. If approved by Pompano Beach’s Development Review Committee, the 19,575-square-foot build site would host 67 apartments in an eight-story building.
