New Castle Hotels & Resorts Proposes 11-Story Hotel With 169 Rooms In Beverly Heights, Fort Lauderdale

Recently unveiled site plans and renderings showcase the Tempo & Homewood Hotel, a proposed 11-story establishment located at 100 Southeast 8th Avenue in the charming neighborhood of Beverly Heights, Fort Lauderdale. The hotel, skillfully designed by Adache Group Architects in collaboration with Craven Thompson & Associates as the civil engineer and Scott C. Heynen, RLA LLC as the landscape architect, is set to be developed by New Castle Hotels & Resorts under Fort Lauderdale 8th Avenue Hotel LLC. The proposal for the hotel is scheduled for review by Fort Lauderdale’s Development Review Committee on April 11, 2023.

SJC Ventures Proposes Grocery-Anchored Retail Center In Doral

Atlanta-based SJC Ventures has submitted a proposal for a grocery-anchored retail center in Doral, Florida. The retail developer, operating through affiliate Doral Marketplace LLC, filed a municipal pre-application with Miami-Dade County officials regarding the project. SJC Ventures stated that it has a 10.1-acre site at the southwest corner of Northwest 107th Avenue and Northwest 41st Street under contract from Bridge Industrial.

West Palm Beach City Commission Grants Approval For 8-Story, 270-Unit Workforce Housing Development At 2501 Spruce Avenue

South Florida-based Affiliated Development and the City of West Palm Beach are joining forces to develop The Spruce, an 8-story, 270-unit apartment building featuring 2,330 square feet of retail space for a café and garage parking. The West Palm Beach City Commission recently approved a site plan review that endorses a partnership agreement between the City’s Housing & Community Development department and the locally-based developer for workforce housing incentives. As part of this collaboration, the developer will benefit from $2.5 million in grant proceeds dispersed over a three-year period, in addition to fee waivers and reductions offered by the department.
