Construction Continues On Moxy Wynwood In Miami’s Booming Wynwood Arts District

YIMBY recently checked in on the progress of the Moxy Wynwood under construction at 255 Northwest 25th Street in Wynwood, Miami. The 120-room boutique hotel, the second for Marriot’s Moxy Hotels brand in Miami-Dade County, is designed by Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design Inc. and is being developed by a 50/50 joint venture partnership between real estate investment firm Dolphin Capital Partners and hotel development and management company Baywood Hotels under the Wynwood Hospitality Holdings LLC. Craft Construction Company LLC is serving as the general contractor for the 12-story structure, alongside JGR Construction, Inc. as the structural contractor.

Dominium, Inc. hopes to move forward with The Mira and The Waters, two housing developments offering more than 500 units in Orange County, Florida. According to the Orlando Business Journal, The Mira would offer 336 affordable housing units, while The Waters would offer 180 affordable housing units.

Developers Fortune International Group and Oak Capital are pleased to announce the groundbreaking of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Pompano Beach. Designed by Revuelta Architecture International with interior and landscape design by world-renowned designer Piero Lissoni, the property will set a new standard for full-service, resort-style living in the tri-county area, offering a collection of 205 residences across a landmark dual-tower setting. Of those 78 residences, 75 are condos and three are garden-style villas. The homes will measure 940 square feet to 2,182 square feet each.

Window installation is nearing completion on Metro Edgewater, a topped-off 32 story residential building at 452 Northeast 31st Street in Edgewater, Miami. designed by Burgos Lanza & Associates and developed by Prodesa International under the Metro Edgewater LLC, the rectangular reinforced concrete superstructure rises 373-feet and will yield approximately 520,638 square feet of new construction including 279 rental apartments, 4,230 square feet of ground floor retail, and a parking garage with 300 spaces. Ortega Construction Company is the general contractor with L&R Structural as the shell contractor.

Construction is rising on the first phase of Nema Miami, a 39-story mixed-use building at 2900 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood, near Wynwood and Midtown. Designed by Arquitectonica with ODP Architecture & Design as the architect of record and developed by Crescent Heights, the 428-foot-tall structure will yield 588 rental apartments, 42,030 square feet of retail, and a parking garage with 748 spaces. A highly anticipated Whole Foods will anchor the retail space, marking the second location for the national supermarket chain in Miami. Stiles McHugh is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Northeast 29th and 30th Streets.
