Redevelopment Effort Resurfaces for 2.4-Acre Bayview Site in Fort Lauderdale

In 2022, Procacci Development Corporation, led by South Florida developer Phillip Procacci, introduced a mixed-use proposal for a 2.4-acre site at 1040 Bayview Drive in Fort Lauderdale. The plan called for demolishing the existing 101,803-square-foot office building on the property and replacing it with a pair of towers rising 14 and 10 stories, featuring 180 multifamily units, 4,400 square feet of restaurant space, 1,350 square feet of retail, 5,750 square feet of offices, and a 505-space parking garage. BBX Capital Real Estate had been a partner in the site since entering a joint venture with an affiliate of Procacci Development Corporation in June 2014, before later selling its stake in June 2022. The long timeline indicates that redevelopment efforts for the property have been underway for more than a decade. The site sits just north of Sunrise Boulevard, not far from the Intracoastal Waterway and The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale.

Witkoff Group and Monroe Capital have completed the concrete foundation pour for Shore Club Private Collection, the new residential development rising at 1901 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. The project is designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects and is being built by Coastal Construction. The work marks a significant construction milestone for the 20-story tower that will join two additional residential components on the three-acre site.
