Florida YIMBY has an update regarding an affordable housing development we covered in May 2025. Our initial report shared that Miami-based Pinnacle had proposed Tropical Crossings, the second phase of the 215-unit Tropical Pointe.

SeaGlass Cove, an oceanfront community at 59720 Overseas Highway in Marathon, has reached completion and secured an $8.46 million permanent loan from Centennial Bank. Developed by Constellation Group and Ironwood Venture Group and designed by Alderman Planning Company, the community consists of 14 three-story residences overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The permanent financing replaces the project’s construction loan and marks its transition from development to a fully completed residential community. According to the developers, 7 of the residences have been sold, leaving the community 50 percent sold with 7 move-in-ready homes remaining.

Construction has topped out on the Grand Hyatt Miami Beach Convention Center Hotel, a 17-story hospitality development at 1701 Convention Center Drive in Miami Beach. Designed by Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica and developed by Terra and Turnberry, the project will yield an 800-room luxury hotel with 110,000 square feet of meeting and ballroom space, 17,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, and a direct connection to the Miami Beach Convention Center via a climate-controlled skybridge. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2027.

A build-to-rent (BTR) community is slated for the former site of an airport in Rockledge, Florida.

Woodfield Development has completed and opened Tides at Palm Bay, a $100 million mixed-use residential and retail development at 2485 Port Malabar Boulevard NE in Palm Bay, Florida. The project includes 318 luxury apartment units across two five-story buildings and townhomes, along with 19,000 square feet of commercial space. The development team includes CBG Building Company as general contractor, Charlan Brock Architects as architect, and ID & Design International as interior designer.
