Chicago-Based AMLI Residential Breaks Ground On 316-Unit AMLI Wynwood

The ongoing construction boom and transformation of Miami’s Wynwood Arts District continues with Chicago-based AMLI Residential breaking ground on one of the neighborhoods largest projects to-date titled AMLI Wynwood, an 8-story mixed-use building that should yield approximately 544,515 square-feet of space including 316 luxury residential units, 30,596 square-feet of commercial/retail space, and 388 parking spaces. The structure is designed by renown design firm Arquitectonica, and is located at 70 Northwest 25th Street, nestled near the center of the block between N. Miami Avenue and N.W. 2nd Avenue with N.W. 24th Street on the other side of the property line.

Flamingo Cove Seeks Zoning Variances for 306 Southwest 5th Avenue, Homestead, FL, 33034

Flamingo Cove is the working name of a new mixed-use development that’s underway in Homestead, FL. Presently, it is seeking zoning variances, per the Construction Journal. The $10 million project will provide affordable housing to those living in South Florida. Its completion date was not known at the time of publication.

66-Unit Townhome Community Proposed For 12891 SW 248 St. In Princeton, Florida

A townhome community going by the name of Quo Townhomes, or possibly Princeton Townhomes, has been proposed for 12891 Southwest 248th Street in Princeton, a neighborhood located towards the southern end of Miami-Dade County. The application was filed by a developer listed as Princeton 1 BH26, LLC, and has chosen architect Alfonso Jurado of Alfonso Jurado Architecture to design the 2.7 acre development. The project should yield approximately 84,982 square feet across 66 two-and-three-story townhomes across 6 currently vacant plots of land.

Lynwind at Championsgate Presently Accepting Bids by Invitation at 2110 Lynwind Boulevard in Davenport, FL, 33896

Lynwind at Championsgate is presently seeking site plan approvals, the Construction Journal reports. The $120 million luxury complex, located in Polk County, FL, is a mixed-use social club and residential complex. It’s been in the works as early as December 2019 and rests on 26.6 acres of land.

Developer Two Roads Development is currently in the planning stages for One Ashley, a 37-story mixed-use tower proposed for Downtown Tampa. Addressed as 103 Ashley Drive South, the currently vacant site sits along the Tampa Riverwalk and right across the street from the developers Tampa office at 100 Ashley Drive South. They have tapped world-class design firm Arquitectonica with Adache Group Architects as the architect of record to design the 409-foot-tall structure, which will consist a mix of residential and hotel space, and restaurant uses.

Terra Group Plans For 3 Million Square-Foot Transit-Oriented Upland Park Development In Beacon Lakes

On June 15, 2021, Coconut Grove-based Terra Group, lead by founders David and Pedro Martin, came to an early agreement with Miami-Dade County for the development of Upland Park, a 3 million square-foot transit-oriented mixed-use project to be located near Dolphin Station. The developer has taken on a 97-year lease on the 33-acre property at the crossroad of the Florida Turnpike and Dolpnin Expressway. Terra is also planning to incorporate Dolpbon station into the development to make it fully transit-oriented.

Miami-Dade County has received an application requesting for an Administrative Site Plan Review from Sulmona Ventures LLC, who has submitted a proposal to construct 266 affordable housing units, also known as workforce housing, across 2 new mixed-use buildings of 7 and 8 stories in the evolving Naranja district. The project’s title is Waterside for the time being, and is located at 27077 South Dixie Highway, on the corner of SW 145th St. The buildings will be designed by Coral Gables-based Behar Front & Partners, and will eventually rise on 4.78 acres of land encompassing well over 200,000 square feet of total lot area.
