Jacksonville’s Downtown Development Review Board has granted approvals for the construction of Johnson Commons, a 91-unit townhome community in the historic LaVilla District of the Downtown area. Lake Worth, FL, will soon be home to a new assisted living community. Palomino Gardens is a $24 million venture that began construction in October 2020. Cameron General Contractors hopes to end construction in July 2022.
Vertical construction will be moving forward on Solemar, a 20-story condominium tower underway at 1116 North Ocean Boulevard in Pompano Beach. It’s developer, the Related Group, acquired a $91.3 million mid-construction loan from CIBC Bank for the development, which broke ground in May of 2021. International architecture firm Arquitectonica is onboard as the designer of the condo tower with Meyer Davis handling interiors. Plans call for the construction of a 250-foot-tall building yielding 105 residential units, that of which 95% have already been pre-sold.
A platting intake has been submitted by Resorts World Miami LLC and Miami-Dade County for the Monorail Transit Subdivision. The filing is in accordance with the proposal to connect Downtown Miami to Miami Beach via a monorail transit system crossing over via the MacArthur Causeway, which is currently in the development stages. The elevated trunkline would begin at Genting Group’s Herald Plaza development site, where Resorts World Miami is planned, and end at Washington Avenue and 5th Street in Miami Beach.
Plans are underway for “The Grand,” a $51 million project in Palm Beach County. The project intends to provide affordable housing to those in the area.
