OKO Group, Cain International Break Ground On 34-Story One River Luxury Apartment Tower in Downtown Fort Lauderdale

OKO Group and Cain International have broken ground on their next joint venture development, One River Fort Lauderdale, a 34-story tower located at 629 Southeast 5th Avenue that will yield 365,203-square-feet including 251 high-end apartments, 2,600 square feet of ground level retail space and a 6-story, 337-space parking garage. On Friday, July 22nd, a ceremonial groundbreaking was held at the site to commemorate the start of construction. Notable attendees included City of Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis, and Vice Mayor Ben Sorensen. The groundbreaking announcement follows recent news that the development team secured $97.2 million in financing from Bank OZK and JVP Management to help fund construction of the tower. Mast Capital Gets FAA Approval For 940-Foot-Tall Cipriani Residences And 693-Foot-Tall Multifamily Towers At 1420 S. Miami Avenue In Brickell

Miami-based Mast Capital received building permit approvals from the Federal Aviation Administration for two structures located at 1420 South Miami Avenue in Brickell, where the firm is planning a 2.6-million-square-foot mixed-use development with three towers across a 2.76-acre site. The tallest structure, the 80-story condominium dubbed Cipriani Residences, will rise 940-feet, or 950-feet above sea level. The second structure, a 59-story apartment tower, will top out at 693-feet, or 710-feet above sea level. Aeronautical studies conducted by the FAA revealed neither of the two structures would have any adverse effects on the navigable airspace.

Aimco, Kushner Submit Plans For 579-Foot-Tall Mixed-Use Tower At 200 W. Broward Blvd. In Downtown Fort Lauderdale

K-A 200 Broward JV LLC, a joint venture by Aimco, a Denver-based multifamily-focused real estate investment and development firm, and Kushner, a New York-based real estate developer, is requesting site plan approvals for 200 West Broward Boulevard, a 48-story, 579-foot-tall mixed-use building proposed for a prime 1.08-acre site along W. Broward Boulevard between Southwest 2nd and 3rd Avenues. This project is designed by local architect Adache Group Architects with landscaping from Witkin Hults + Partners and civil engineering by Flynn Engineering. The 618,084-square-foot tower would sit atop a 305,905-square-foot podium and comprise 430,298 square feet of residential space across 381 units, 7,527 square feet of commercial space, 180,000 square feet of combined amenity, tenant storage and service spaces, and 7 levels of parking for 434 vehicles. The building would become the tallest in Fort Lauderdale if approved and built, surpassing the planned 558-foot-tall 300 W. Broward tower next door, and representing one of four towers in the works for Broward Crossing, a 1,300 unit mixed-use development with office, retail and a potential hotel.
