National developer Property Markets Group and Sarasota-based JEBCO Ventures just recently announced the launch of One Park Sarasota, an 18-story, 149-unit luxury residential building set to rise in the heart of Downtown Sarasota’s Waterfront District. Designed by Sarasota-based Hoyt Architects, the building will span approximately 900,000 square feet and occupy the southwest corner of the junction with Boulevard of the Arts and North Tamiami Trail near Sarasota Bay . The property is located east of the historic Belle Haven Apartments, and will feature a multitude of lavish amenities, state-of-the-art smart building technology and incredible views of The Bay Park, Sarasota Bay and the growing city skyline. South Florida-based general contractor ANF Group, Inc. has announced the completion of Village View, a 7-story affordable apartment community located at 640 North Andrews Avenue in the Flagler Village neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Designed by Corwil Architects and developed by award-winning multifamily developer Housing Trust Group (HTG), the development is comprised of 100 residential units catered to seniors of 55 years of age or older who earn at or below 30, 60 and 70 percent of the area median income; monthly rents range from $402 to $1,296. Thomas Engineering served as the civil engineer and landscape architect, while B. Pila Design Studio was the interior designer.

Demolition Permits Issued For 300 Biscayne Boulevard, Where Miami’s First Supertall Skyscraper Will Rise

Demolition permits have been issued for 300 Biscayne Boulevard, the development site of the upcoming 1,049-foot-tall Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences – Miami’s first skyscraper to reach supertall status. The 100-story mixed-use building is designed by Sieger Suarez Architects in collaboration with Carlos Ott, and being developed by New York City and Miami-based Property Markets Group with Canada-based Greybrook Realty Partner. The scope of work involves the full demolition of a 73-year old, 11,119-square-foot single-story structure tucked at the northwest corner of Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 3rd Street. The BG Group is listed as the contractor for the work priced at $30,000.

Water Street Tampa Announces Asher & ROOST Apartment Hotel At 1050 Water Street

Real estate development firm Strategic Property Partners (SPP) recently announced Asher, a dynamic, highly amenitized new 22-story apartment tower at 1050 Water Street in Water Street Tampa, the 56-acre neighborhood transforming Downtown Tampa. In addition to offering a collection of rental residences, the developer has teamed up with Method Co., the celebrated Philadelphia-based hospitality company, to bring the first Florida location of their high-design extended-stay concept, ROOST Apartment Hotel, at Asher. The building is designed by Morris Adjmi Architects with ODP Architecture & Design as the architect of record, and will offer a total of 490 thoughtfully-designed rental residences ranging from studio to two-bedroom homes and 30,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Renderings Revealed For S-Shaped 649-Foot-Tall Tower In Miami Designed By Rafael Viñoly Architects

New renderings have surfaced of a 649-foot-tall mixed-use tower proposed for 1370 Northeast 2nd Avenue in Miami’s Arts and Entertainment District in between Park West and Edgewater. The S-shaped glass structure is designed by New York City-based Rafael Viñoly Architects, and would rise 54-stories across the street from the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and adjacent to the new Signature Bridge. Crescent Heights is developing the project along with Miami-Dade County’s Public Schools and Performing Arts Center, and the Miami Parking authority. The proposed plan for the project incorporates ground floor commercial uses, office spaces, a new home for Miami-Dade County Public Schools headquarters, multi-family residential units and amenities, and a parking resource serving the Arsht Center.
